INVITATION TO TENDER

FOR DISPOSAL OF ASSETS AT RIJKZWAAN

1. Rijk Zwaan intends to dispose Vehicles, Generators and other equipment. The bellow listed assets are disposed on “as is, where is” basis and the procuring entity shall have no further liability after sale.

2. Rijk Zwaan invites sealed Tenders for the purchase of bellow mentioned items

3. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) and is open to all Tenderers.
4. Interested Tenderers may request the Tender document via our email procurementqsem@rijkzwaan.com Tenderers are required to inspect the physical goods at Rijk Zwaan Q-Sem Ltd. office, Malalua station – Old Moshi/Nelson Mandela road Arusha and Rijk Zwaan Afrisem Ltd. office, Dolly Estate, USA River on  21^st  and 22^nd of January 2021 from 09.00am up to 12:00 noon.

5. The highest successfully bidder will be required to pay 100% of the amount quoted for the specific asset under each Lot within 24hours from the date of receiving award letter.  Award letter will be issued to highest successfully bidder within 7days from the date of Intention to award letter.

6. All Tenders in one original plus one copy, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the following address; Rijk Zwaan Q-Sem Ltd., Procurement office, Malalua Station- Old Moshi/Nelson Mandela Road, P. O. Box 12345 Arusha, before or on 26th of January 2021 at 11:00am. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening

7. Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.

INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS

1. Scope of Tender

Rijk Zwaan invites Tenders for disposal of assets as specified in the Description of Assets list attached.   The successful Tenderer will deposit the bid amount in 7 working days from the date of award. Assets and equipment be expected to collect within the period of one week from the date of payment.

2.              Eligible Tenderers

A Tenderer may be natural persons, companies or firms or public or semi-public    agencies of Tanzania and foreign countries or any combination of them with a formal intent to enter into an agreement or under an existing agreement in the form of a joint venture. The Lead Member shall at the time of contract award confirm the appointment by submission of a Power of Attorney to the Procuring Entity.

3.                Cost of Tendering

The Tenderer shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of its Tender, and the Procuring Entity will in no case be responsible or liable for those costs, regardless of the conduct or outcome of the process

4.                              Inspection of Asset(s)

The prospective Tenderers are advised to inspect asset(s) in liaison with the Procuring Entity before they Tender. This will enable them to arrive at the most competitive Tender. Tenders are based on “as is, where is” basis and the conditions of the assets are not warranted by the Procuring Entity.    The place and time for the inspection of asset(s) shall be Rijk Zwaan Q-sem Ltd,  Malalua Station, Chekereni- Moshono Road and Rijk Zwaan Afrisem Ltd., Dolly Estate, USA River.

5.               Content of Documents

The number of copies to be completed and returned with the Tender is One Original and one copy.  The “Invitation for Tender” issued by the Procuring Entity does not form part of the Tendering Documents and is included as a reference only. In case of discrepancies between the Invitation to Tender and the Tendering Documents the said Tendering Documents will take precedence.

6.                               Clarification of Tendering Documents

A prospective Tenderer requiring any clarification of the Tendering Documents may notify to Rijk Zwaan in writing or in electronic forms that provide record of the content of communication at the Procuring Entity’s email procurementqsem@rijkzwaan.com prior to the deadline for the submission. 7.            Amendment of Documents

Before the deadline for submission of Tenders, the Procuring Entity, for any reason, whether at its own initiative or in response to a clarification requested by a prospective Tenderer, may modify the Tendering Documents by issuing addenda.

8. Language of Tender

The Tender prepared by the Tenderer, as well as all correspondence and documents relating to the Tender exchanged by the Tenderer and the Procuring Entity shall be written or in electronic forms that provide record of the content of communication in English language.

9. Tender Validity Period

Tenders shall remain valid for the period of 30days.

10. Deadline for Submission of Tenders

Tenders shall be received by the Procuring Entity at the address Rijk Zwaan Q-Sem Ltd offices , P. O. Box 12345 Arusha, Malalua station- Old Moshi/Nelson Mandela road on  or before  26^th of January 2021  at 11.00am

11. Late Tenders

Any Tender received by the Procuring Entity after the deadline for submission of Tenders shall be declared late, rejected and returned unopened to the Tenderer.

12. Award of Tender

Tender will be awarded to the highest successfully evaluated bidder under each Lot as specified in table of items that need to be sold

13. Payment terms

The highest successfully bidder will be required to pay 100% of the amount quoted for the particular asset purchased within 24hours from the date of receiving award letter.  Payment should be made through our Rijk Zwaan Company Bank accounts that will shared later to successful bidders, Original Bank pay slip will be submitted to finance office located at Chama Tengeru Near Kigongoni Lodge. Award letter will be issued to highest successfully bidder within 7days from the date of Intention to award letter.
