Description
Children learn from growing things.
People of all ages can appreciate gardening, but children in particular will have lots of fun and gain special benefits. Most children enjoy being outdoors and love digging in the soil, getting dirty, creating things and watching plants grow. Gardening is educational and develops new skills including
- Responsibility
- Self-confidence
- Love of nature
- Reasoning and discovery
- Physical activity
- Cooperation
- Creativity
- Nutrition.
Cecilia’s garden center would like to provide a ‘Young gardeners club’ for our community’s children/young adults from the age of 7 years to 12 years, every Saturday from 10am to 12pm.
In order to encourage the children to appreciate the outdoors and brush up on their reading skills, we will provide a small library of various books for quiet reading time.
Sign up your children so that they can learn new skills, have fun, play and develop self-confidence by spending time in the garden tending plants and growing their own food and learn to prepare simple recipes for healthy snacks. Parents/Adults who are avid gardeners are welcome too to share their ideas with each other.
Interested members can sign up at Cecilia’s Garden Centre on Kanisa road, House number 2A, in advance and will be notified on dates according to numbers of interested gardeners.
