Course Description

This course will focus on providing an understanding of how information technologies gather, store, process, and communicate information, along with an understanding of the hardware and software required for an organization to successfully utilize technology combined with Networking Basics which is the first of the four courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). It focuses on network terminology and protocols, local-area networks (LANs), wide-area networks (WANs), Open System Interconnection (OSI) models, cabling, cabling tools, routers, router programming, Ethernet, Internet Protocol (IP) addressing, and network standards.
