A hotel in Arusha town is looking to recruit the following;

 

  1. Waiter/Waitress

Responsibilities;

  • Perform all necessary tasks to service food & beverage according to the standard of performance manual of the hotel
  • Greet and seat customers and serve them in a professional, discreet and personalized way
  • Consistently monitor quality of food & beverage being served
  • Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints / queries satisfactorily
  • Responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards and upkeep of all service equipment
  • Responsible for all service preparations before, during and after the service
  • Ensure minimum wastage, breakage and spoilage

 

Requirements;

A background in hotel industry

A good knowledge of handling the bar is an advantage

Fluent in written and spoken English

Good Customer Service and language

Mature, Hardworking and reliable

Flexible to attend night shifts

A certificate from a recognized training college

 

 

 

 

  1. Pastry chef

 

  • Preparing a wide variety of pastries, cakes, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes
  • Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
  • Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
  • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
  • Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards

 

Requirements;

Proven experience as Pastry Chef, baker or relevant role

Great attention to detail and creativity

Organizing and leadership skills

Willingness to replenish professional knowledge

In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition

Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)

Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field

Flexible with shifts

 

  1. Housekeeping

Responsibilities

Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting and rearranging the room after guests check out

  • Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service
  • Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Clean and stock restrooms.
  • Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
  • Notify managers of necessary repairs.
  • Collect and dispose of trash.
  • Assist guests when necessary.
  • Keep linen room stocked.
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Work well unsupervised.
  • Handle basic cleaning.
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests and co-workers.
  • Hard worker

 

  1. Laundry attendant

Responsibilities;

  • Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items.
  • Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures.
  • Performing minor sewing duties.
  • Tracking which items belong to whom.
  • Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents and sewing kits.
  • Tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment.
  • Ensuring that the facility remains clean at all times.

 

Requirements;

  • High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferable.
  • Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Available to work shifts and on weekends
