FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS

DAY CARE/PRESCHOOL MANAGER

We are looking to hire a qualified Day Care Director to manage our day-to-day operations and establish and sustain a positive learning environment for children. You will oversee the coordination of education programs that comply with the laws and regulations of Tanzanian government. Ensure that the facilities are maintained, managed and support a complement of day care staff, and mange the centers financial affairs. Also be a part of the teaching staff.

The Successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of a daycare center or nursery school, as well as strong leadership skills. You should display a friendly demeanor, have a love for children and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both children and teachers. Early child hood development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children
• Manage and coordinate curricula with staff that compliment government requirements.
• Ensure that center facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
• Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development
• Interview, hire and train new staff members, ensure they meet all policies and legal requirements.
• Communicate and meet the Parents regarding their children and centers policies.
• Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures.
• Manage and oversee the budget and accounts and ensure that the center remains profitable
• Develop and facilitate marketing and communication plan

REQUIREMENTS

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Early childhood education experience may be preferred.
• Comply with the Governments childcare laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor
• Maintain professional appearance, attitude and work ethic at all times.
• Worked with or familiar with the Montessori or Reggio Emilia approach
• Has or is willing to have a first Aid Certificate

DAY CARE/ PRE –SCHOOL TEACHER

Our new childcare facility is looking for a preschool Teacher who can help to create a fun environment and incorporate educational programs that assist in our Children’s development. The pre school teacher will be responsible for monitoring and teaching the children age 1 to 5 in our program, developing a curriculum that the children will responds to positively and partnering with our team to enhance the learning environment at our school. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents.
• Create activities that are fun and educational for the Children
• Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child
• Deliver reports on potential concerns about students as to management as needed.
• Manage day to day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free paly, bathroom breaks, lunch time and rest time for students.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• A minimum of 3 Years working with children in a classroom setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Caring and nurturing attitude towards children.
• Maintain professional appearance, attitude and work ethic at all times.
• Early childhood education experience may be preferred
• Familiar with or the Reggio Emilia Approach or willing to learn
