The Role

 

A Mature, Dynamic and Experienced Accounts Assistant/Office Administrator is required for an organization in the Hospitality Industry based in Arusha, Tanzania. Tasks will include Bookkeeping, Communication, monthly compilation and submission of statutory taxes using current e-filing system e.g. of PAYE/SDL, NSSF, Withholding Tax, WCF, Service Levy, VAT along with the required ORS submissions, ensuring compliance, basic Human Resource tasks, data entry and reporting in QuickBooks Online, Stock Control and Purchasing, Secretarial and filing and willing and able to do much more.

 

The position would suit someone who has proven experience in ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of any company they have worked with before and it is important to have a positive, friendly and respectful demeanor.

 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Accounts Assistant/ Office Administrator and be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy. They will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently. They would ensure smooth running of our company’s offices and contribute to driving sustainable growth.  They would maintain a positive and friendly company image by acting as the first line of contact to guests, customers, and suppliers in person, online, and via mobile.

 

Qualifications and Experience required

 

The candidate will be a Tanzanian Citizen and be fluent in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili. They will have completed either a Form Six/ A Levels/ International Baccalaureate (IB) education. A holder of an Diploma in Accounting, and certificates or training in office administration, business administration, hospitality management or any relevant field is preferred. A Bachelor degree would be an added advantage.

 

Excellent computer skills in Word and Excel are essential. The candidate should be proficient with Book Keeping and Office Administration with a minimum of 2 years experience. They should be proficient in QuickBooks Online.

 

Holder of a driving license is preferable.
