PERIS GENERAL SUPPLY (PGS) is a fast growing Company based in Arusha Tanzania with business operations in various Regions such as Dar Es Salaam, Tanga, Dodoma, Manyara and Mwanza in Tanzania. The core business of the Company is Wholesale and Retail supply of Stationery items.

Other businesses in the portfolio include Financial Services, Hardware and Building Materials, ICT and Consumables.


To provide support to the Managing Director (MD) in the day to day management of their business, this encompasses both administrative and organizational tasks. In addition overseeing the main reception and coordination of all business related operations.


Office Management

·         Co-coordinating information and business flows as necessary.

·         Arrangement, coordination and management of the MD’s office facilities

Organizational Tasks

·         Manage accessibility to MD’s complex diary – set up relevant arrangements (e.g. meeting room, notifications, bookings, material, etc).

·         Organize complex meetings and telephone/video conferences

·         Build, develop and maintain relationships with key external/internal customers and build cross-functional network within own peer group

·         Ensure fluid communication is maintained with MD at all times especially when travelling.

·         Deal with all issues and forwarding to Director when necessary.

·         Maintain a filing system at the office; ensure that a copy of all incoming/ outgoing correspondence, utilities bills, etc. are filed chronologically

·         Ensure that the telephone, photocopier machines and printers are in a state of good repair. Immediately report any faults and liaise with service providers to ensure that PGS offers quality services.


·         Mailing- receiving, sending & distribution

·         Switchboard – receiving & making calls

·         Reception

·         Receiving of Sales Order

·         Timely preparation of goods with invoices ready for supply to the Customer

·         Follow up on outstanding payments and produce daily report

·         Preparation and submission of daily report to the Managing Director.

·         Managing other sales staff.

·         Compose and type letters directed by management

·         Build processes that meet our business objectives and ensure compliance

·         Monitor financial data and recommend solutions that will improve profitability

·         Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team

·         Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status


·         Certificate /Diploma in either Business Management/Accounts/ Procurement any other related despline.


·         At least 6 months’ experience in the same role in a busy organization.

·         Experience with using Microsoft packages, Word, Power Point

·         Ability to work independently, excellent time management,

·         Organized and able to set priorities

·         Age between 25 to 33years

·         Fluent in written and spoken English and Swahili

·         Flexibility

·         Good interpersonal skills

·         Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information

·         Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets

·         Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences

·         Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

·         Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

·         Strong business sense and industry expertise

·         Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills

·         The efficiency of systems and procedures
