CAMP STAFF JOB VACANCY

Our Client is looking for experienced and hardworking individuals to fill in the following vacant position.

CAMP SUPERVISOR

A Camp Supervisor’s role is to supervise and ensure that the camp is clean, and that staff works as a team in a dependable and well-balanced manner so as to ensure that clients have an unforgettable stay at the Camps. The camp supervisor will be responsible to ensure clients are well-served meals and drinks and also working together with other staff and the operations department in addressing any client’s request or complaints.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • To answer any inquiries regarding the services and attend to clients’ complaints.
  • Greet and brief basic information to guests, visitors, or clients.
  • Resolving clients’ complaints or problems.
  • Managing guest services and activities provided by staff.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Oversee staff assigned duties and ensure compliance with camp and National Parks rules.
  • Assisting in managing the movement of staff according to company policy
  • To manage all daily, weekly, and monthly operations of the camp
  • To ensure all guests receive an excellent hospitality experience, compliant with our camp’s high standard of service offering.
  • To ensure all staff are motivated, have a high standard of work ethic, and follow the company procedures at all times.
  • To maintain strong cooperation and communication with operations departments and their teams.
  • Oversee the financial procedures and ensure strict control in accordance with the company’s policy.
  • Ensure that general data is accurate, timely, and consolidated and measure the performance of the individual staff.
  • Health and safety including protection of all guests, staff, property, and equipment (all company assets to be managed to limit potential loss to the company).
  • Ensure that overall repairs and maintenance of the property are being followed through, focusing on preventive maintenance in coordination with Operations Department.
  • Ensure all store procedures and stock control are being followed correctly, in accordance with the operations department.
  • Ensure that the overall hygiene of the camp is in place and maintained to a high level reaching the company standard.
  • Ensure monthly and weekly stock takes are done and submitted on time according to the financial timeline.
  • Exercise and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Keep the Director informed of all relevant information and escalation of issues as they arise.

 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry as a supervisor.
  • Leadership skills, guest-oriented, strong communication skills.
  • Team orientation, faithfulness, and excellent leadership skills
  • Flexibility, commitment, dedication, and reliability
  • Good manners and a positive attitude
  • A hospitable and service-oriented attitude

 

 

ROOM ATTENDANT

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean and organize clients’ rooms making sure that all the amenities are there.
  • Clean and sweep floors, carpets, and rugs.
  • Makes beds and changes linens.
  • Clean and wash bathrooms, toilets, sinks, and countertops.
  • Replenishes toilets and towels.
  • Empties trash receptacles.
  • Maintain the highest standard of services to clients like room briefing, and cleanness, and report any maintenance issues in your working environment.
  • Room attendants should not make Clients wait for service since it is vital to make sure service is delivered on time without any delays.
  • You need to keep your equipment records; in case anything breaks should be recorded and reported to your manager.

Requirements

  • Experience as a housekeeper or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a bush environment.
  • Commitment to a high level of customer service.
  • Knowledge of hotels, lodges, and restaurants.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with efficiency and discretion.
  • Certificate or Diploma in hotel management.
  • Must be able to speak English fluently.

 

 

 

 

WAITER/BUTLER

Daily Duties

  • Make sure the cleanliness of all food and beverage facilities including the restaurant, lounge, bar, and area around.
  • Make sure that food and beverage services are being met with the highest standard.
  • Waiter/Butler should not make Clients wait for service since it is vital to make sure service is delivered on time without any delays.
  • Maintain the highest standard of services to clients, cleanness, and report any maintenance issues in your working environment.
  • Make sure clients always have drinks with them unless they are satisfied.
  • Make sure that drinks are served to clients at the right temperature as per their preferences.
  • Ready to answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and any other necessary questions asked by your clients.
  • Make sure that table set up should be prepared before clients’ arrival for their meals and ready.
  • You need to keep your crockery and cutlery records; in case anything breaks should be recorded and reported to your manager.

Requirements

  • Experience as a waiter or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong multi-tasking and Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a bush environment.
  • Commitment to a high level of customer service.
  • Knowledge of hotels, lodges, and restaurants.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with efficiency and discretion.
  • Knowledge of food and wine pairings is a plus.
  • Certificate or Diploma in hotel management.
  • Must be able to speak English fluently, other languages an advantage.
  • Must be willing to be based in camps in remote locations.
