Certified Public Accountant Job for the Hotel in Arusha

We are hiring for the Accountant with the above qualification to join our client with five star Hotel in Arusha.

Salary: 1,800,000.00 Gross Salary

Are you a skilled accountant with an eye for detail? We’re seeking a dedicated individual to join our client team at Our client Hotel in Arusha for the role of Accountant. Since the position is Middle level position, you will work under the guidance of a Senior Officer, gaining valuable experience in financial management and reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities

v  Preparation of payment vouchers and writing of the cheques.

v  Work with Bookkeepers who are based globally – a global distributed team.

v  Communicate strategies on bookkeeping and accounts payables and forecasting Investigate Financial records and provide strategic planning to help make informed decisions Updating and generating monthly reports for Cash Book and Ledger.

v  Posting general journal entries on the ledger.

v  Assist in receiving and verifying payment requests, invoices to ensure accuracy and accountability.

v  Assist in preparation of Petty cash reconciliation.

v  Printing, Stamping and Filing of Finance documents (receipts, vouchers etc.) and ensure accurate record keeping.

v  Assist the Finance team in preparation of audit.

v  Ensure timely input of data required for preparation of monthly and related financial statements. Coding and posting voucher entries into the general ledger.

v  Checking and verifying tax compliance of VAT is included in the invoices.

v  Reconciling of the bank accounts monthly and creditor/debtors accounts and advising on how to resolve any Reconciling of the bank accounts monthly and creditor/debtors accounts and advising on how to resolve any differences.

v  Monitoring and reinforcing internal controls and any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

v  Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline accounting procedures and increase efficiency.

v  Ensuring timely payments of monthly invoices Requirements for Appointment

v  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Qualifications Required

v  CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification is a MUST have.

v  Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.

v  Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.

v  Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

v  Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

v  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

v  Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

v  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

v  High integrity and honesty is a must have.

v  Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.

v  Experience in budgeting and financial forecasting is a plus.
