We are looking for suitably persons of high personal integrity to fill the
following vacant position:

Position: East Africa Sales Manager

Reports to: Head of Sales and Marketing

Job Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for delivering room and activity revenue
for our Lemala and Adrift branded properties and activities in East Africa.

Key to this is managing the Sales Representatives and Executives in the
region, ensuring they are able to deliver sales presentations and training
sessions to source agents locally across the region.

Scope of the Role:

* Establish trust-based relationships with East African Tour
Operators and Agents

* Represent our company at industry functions.

* Help draw up and thereafter implement a comprehensive sales plan
in order to retain and familiarize all local agents on all our East Africa

* Collate and consolidate all sales activity into a single monthly
report for the Head of Sales and Marketing

* Become Res Request capable with the view to being able to assist
TO’s with quick availability checks, date changes, guest updates into notes
such as dietary requirements and arrival times.

* Identify new occupancy opportunities

* Build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of
staff especially the heads of Ops and Reservations.

Core Job Responsibilities a& Duties:

* Create and maintain a rolling activity calendar

* Participating in pricing strategy session

* Evaluate performance of FIT DMC’s and Trade partners and
contracted rates

* Prepare outline for supporting the annual revenue budget process

* Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow and report on
marketing trends

* Any other reasonable request made by management

Position Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years hospitality work experience- ideally with at least
2 years in a senior managerial position

* Finance and Budget management skills

* Excellent management ability and communication skills

* Exceptional English and second language would be preferable

* The ability to deal effectively with tour operators etc.

* Assertiveness, patience and good organisation skills

* A development approach to staff

* A hardworking, co-operative and motivating manner

* Good Computer literacy

* Flexibility, commitment, dedication, and reliability

* Good manners and a positive attitude

* A hospitable and service-oriented attitude
