Fides Tanzania Ltd is currently looking for a strong, enthusiastic, committed and suitable Tanzanian to fill the following vacancy:


Reporting to: Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities includes:

  1. Accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
  • Completeness and timeliness of information.
  • Accurate and efficient processing of transactions according to accounting standards
  1. Financial Management and Accounting
  • Liaise with the Finance Manager in preparation of annual budgets.
  • Monitoring actual expenditures against budgeted expenses and advise or make recommendations for the future.
  • Support and enforce compliance with all statutory requirements and guidelines
  • Assist the Financial Manager in preparation of periodic management accounts and financial reports
  1. Asset Management
  • Maintain an up-to-date asset register for all Dümmen Orange assets in Tanzania, ensuring that all old and new assets are tagged and engraved.
  • Ensure that any movement of assets is properly approved, recorded, and documented.
  1. AP/AR/Inventory control, cash forecasting, financial support
  • Clear cash flow forecast
  • Inventory levels and aging in control
  • Timely and correct payment of AP
  • Strict review of provisions
  • Support on loan facilities
  1. Bank Reconciliations
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations and counterchecking bank transactions to ensure no abnormal occurrences. Produce standardised reporting for monthly review and be part of financial review initiated by Business Control.
  1. Stock reconciliation
  • Check for imbalances in invoices and receipts.
  • Follow up on imbalances with stores
  • Monthly reconciliation of the inventory offset account – Maintain zero balance
  1. Supplier Reconciliations
  • Carry out monthly reconciliations on all outstanding balances for all suppliers
  • Maintain monthly supplier records.
  1. Preparation of all statutory deductions
  • Responsible for preparing and filing PAYE returns on the online TRA system.
  • Preparation and timely submission of hard copies to TRA.
  • Booking all purchases into the TRA system.
  • Timely submission of all VAT returns to TRA.
  • Timely submission of all hard copies of invoices to TRA for stamping, make photocopies of all stamped invoices and submit them to URA.
  • Receive VAT assessments from TRA, check and verify amount of VAT to be reimbursed to the company.
  • Liaise with procurement to follow up on suppliers who did not submit their invoices to TRA.
  1. Performs related work as assigned.


  1. a)Bachelors in Finance/Accounting/CPA from a recognized University.
  2. b)Analytical thinking, Accurate, good communicator, good in building relations. Hands on, Pro-active
  3. c)Fluent in English both Speaking and Writing
  4. d)Masters in Accounting/Administration would be an added advantage

Must Have Knowledge of:

  1. a)Computer literacy esp. MS Office
  2. b)Automated accounting systems e.g., QuickBooks (US version) is an added advantage


  1. a)At least 3-5 years working experience in similar post.
  2. b)Experience in the flower companies will be an added advantage.
