Tingitana is a family business that has specialized in offering accommodations in mobile camps and lodges for 20 years now. We have mobile camps in the major parks of the Northern Circuit, Serengeti Mara and Ndutu. Our lodge in Manyara, Oremiti, located on the shore of Lake Manyara and facing the Rift Valley.

For summer season, we are looking for:

Laundry Attendant

Description

What are the essential functions?

• Ensure that quality is maintained on all items laundered.
• Cleaning and drying sheets, pillow cases, towels, napkins and tablecloths.
• Ironing
• Sort, fold and stock clean linen.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room
• The listed items may not be the only duties performed in this position – there will be other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What knowledge, skills and abilities do I need to have? (the must-haves)

• Ability to operate standard laundry equipment.
• Ability to multi-task, follow through and re-prioritize well to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate and develop an effective working relationship with coworker, managers,
• Ability to deal professionally, courteously and tactfully with the public and coworkers.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively with others.
• Have passion for service; like taking care of others; and provide that friendly above and beyond service to your customers
• Speak French would be an advantage

CAMP MANAGER

Description

What are the essential functions?

• Co-ordinate all heads of department (HOD’S) in the running of their respective departments.
• Ensure all staff are well informed and familiar with the modus operation of the camp.
• Meet and actively engage with all guests at Camp to the level that is required.
• Efficiently manage all guest expectations
• Ensure all keys and sensitive, confidential information in your responsibility is maintained in this light
• Maintain Health working relationship with all other staff
• Any other work you will be assigned by your Supervisor/ Manager

Waiter

Description

What are the essential functions?

• Meet and greet guests
  • Set up of restaurant.
  • Clean restaurant as required.
  • Break down and clean all areas of the restaurant and bar after service.
  • Present menus with introduction of offering, highlight exceptional dishes including, specials of the day
  • Take accurate orders from guests and ensure timely delivery there of
  • Generate, present and receipt bill
  • Assist in the counting of bar inventories.
  • Assist with operating equipment and stock takes.
  • Assist in preparing for and counting of operating stocks and equipment
• The listed items may not be the only duties performed in this position – there will be other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What knowledge, skills and abilities do I need to have? (must-have)

• Must have excellent communication and customer skills.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months’ relevant experience within a professional restaurant/hotel/lodge.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Ability to do physical challenging jobs
  • Physically fit to stand on feet for long periods
  • Have passion for service; like taking care of others; and provide that friendly above and beyond service to your customers
• Speak French would be an advantage

Plumber
Description

What are the essential functions?

• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines.
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
• Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure.
• Install and maintain water supply systems.
• Daily room checking and water leakage repair.
• Install, repair and maintenance of solar boiler

Requirements

What knowledge, skills and abilities do I need to have? (the must-haves)

• Minimum two years’ experience in the same field
• Good communication skills.
