We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Camp Manager to oversee camp operations at our clients’ camps which are located in different National Parks.

Duties, Responsibilities & Performance Standards

  • Communicate with the reservation department on the client’s arrival and departure.
  • Greet and brief basic information about the camp to clients, managing client services during their stay at the camp.
  • Resolving any client complaints.
  • Work together with other staff and management in a smooth, safe, and harmonious manner to ensure clients have a memorable stay at the camp.
  • Inspect client rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Inspect clients’ rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Oversee assigned duties of staff to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with the set rules.
  • Coordinating back of House activities at the camp like maintenance and asset management.
  • Managing the movement of staff according to company policy.
  • Production of weekly and monthly reports of camp progress to the Operations manager/ head office.

General Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry
  • Previous experience working in camps will be highly valued
  • Education in Hospitality and Hotel Management is preferable
  • Good English speaking, leadership skills, guest-oriented, strong communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Positive attitude, and a hospitable service-oriented attitude
  • Age between 30-45 years old

CAMP SUPERVISOR JOB VACANCY

Job Overview: our client is looking for a Camp Supervisor whose role is to supervise and ensure that the camp is clean, and that staff works as a team in a dependable and well-balanced manner so as to ensure that clients have an unforgettable stay at the Camps.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • To answer any inquiries regarding the services and attend to clients’ complaints.
  • Managing guest services and activities provided by staff.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Oversee staff assigned duties and ensure compliance with camp and National Parks rules.
  • Assisting in managing the movement of staff according to company policy
  • To manage all daily, weekly, and monthly operations of the camp
  • To ensure all guests receive an excellent hospitality experience, compliant with our camp’s high standard of service offering.
  • To ensure all staff are motivated, have a high standard of work ethic, and follow the company procedures at all times.
  • To maintain strong cooperation and communication with operations departments and their teams.
  • Ensure that general data is accurate, timely, and consolidated and measure the performance of the individual staff.
  • Health and safety including protection of all guests, staff, property, and equipment (all company assets to be managed to limit potential loss to the company).
  • Ensure that overall repairs and maintenance of the property are being followed through, focusing on preventive maintenance in coordination with Operations Department.
  • Ensure all store procedures and stock control are being followed correctly, in accordance with the operations department.
  • Ensure that the overall hygiene of the camp is in place and maintained to a high level reaching the company standard.
  • Ensure monthly and weekly stock takes are done and submitted on time according to the financial timeline.
  • Exercise and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Keep the Director informed of all relevant information and escalation of issues as they arise.

JOB VACANCY FOR TOUR CONSULTANT

Our client is looking for a Tour Consultant with a broad knowledge of Tanzania as a destination who will be responsible for providing professional assistance to customers, assisting them in planning and preparing safari packages.

Location: Arusha

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quoting, managing, and making travel bookings including flights, transfers, as well as accommodation bookings, dealing with inquiries from initial contact to completion of each file beginning until confirmed.
  • Responding and handling agent inquiries by e-mail and phone, converting inquiries from clients on the phone and by e-mail into actual sales.
  • Taking care of reservations/cancellations/amendments and preparing your files for the Operations Department, with all correct invoices and client details
  • Making sure all booking files are kept in perfect order and follow-ups must be made to ensure no opportunity for a sale is missed.
  • Preparation of all documents and safari planners relating to each file and reconfirming all services
  • Invoicing and managing payments in line with the requirements of the department
  • Ensuring proficiency in all systems and utilizing them for maximum efficiency
  • Acquiring and managing the emergency phone and duties as rotated among the team
  • Assist with and maintain an efficient administrative system within the department
  • Sourcing, leveraging, and growing trade and direct client relations to yield maximum revenue results
  • Working seamlessly with the reservations, finance, operations, safaris, and sales/marketing teams to ensure the continued growth and success of the respective divisions
  • Achieving targets as set out by management both on service quality and revenue generation
  • Troubleshooting and taking accountability to ensure the very best quality output and client/guest satisfaction
  • Issue driver’s itineraries, Driver/guide briefing for safaris
  • Other duties as outlined by the management

 Requirements:

  • Have a qualification in Tourism Studies diploma/degree in a tourism-related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a tour consultant in the Tanzanian safari industry or a related position.
  • Passionate about creating unique safari experiences for our clients
  • Team player, able to work in a busy environment but at the same time able to work individually under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Your computer skills are up to date, including Excel, PowerPoint, working in the cloud, itinerary software, and basic Google Suite.
  • Good numerical skills be able to plan itineraries and costing for budget, mid, and high-end customers.
  • Must be articulate and well-spoken, confident, and able to brief and debrief clients.
  • Must be organized, highly efficient, reliable, and diligent with a strong sense of responsibility and fulfillment.
  • Informed decision-making ability imperative, with a sound ability to both strategize and implement, flexible and problem solver.
  • Be flexible in working hours and ensure coverage where/when needed.
