
Description
The Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) is seeking services of a suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions;
- Security Guard
Duties and Responsibilities
- Guard, patrol, or monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Enforce security measure at official premises or installations;
- Control movement of visitors and maintain a record of such visitors
- Assisting in planning and establishing security procedures to ensure the overall security and safety
- Patrol the premises and area of responsibility and be vigilant patrol to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity
- Report all calls / discrepancies / incidents
- Maintain all Registers / Logs / files as per procedures
- Monitor and Control traffic movement and parking areas
- Checking and recording ID’s for Institute visitors;
- Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working
- Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
- Any other duties as may be assigned and agreed from time to time

Qualifications
- Minimum ‘O’ level certificate with Police or Armed Forces or equivalent qualification with three (3) years’ experience
- Driver
Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving Institute vehicles
- Ensure that the vehicles and its accessories / tools are all in good working condition
- Maintaining driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections in order to detect any defects
- Adhere to all safety requirements particular to the vehicle status
- Ensure that laid down instructions on control of motor vehicles are followed
- Carry out minor repairs
- Any other duties as may be assigned and agreed from time to time

- Knowledge and understanding of vehicles mechanics
- Knowledge of traffic regulations
- Knowledge of first aid requirements and procedures
- Knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
- Record keeping
Qualifications
- “O” Level Certificate with a certificate in Motor Mechanic or equivalent;
- Valid Class “C” driving license
- At least 3 years work experience with a regional / International Institution or Institution of higher learning
