Our client is looking for experienced personnel to cover the below positions.
Job Title: TOUR CONSULTANT
Location: Arusha
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Quoting, managing, and making travel bookings including flights, transfers, as well as accommodation bookings, dealing with inquiries from initial contact to completion of each file beginning until confirmed.
- Responding and handling agent inquiries by e-mail and phone, converting inquiries from clients, both on the phone and by e-mail into actual sales.
- Taking care of reservations/cancellations/amendments and preparing your files for the Operations Department, with all correct invoices and client details
- Communicating with clients in English by mail and phone in a friendly and courteous manner, with accurate and consistent information
- All booking files must be kept in perfect order and follow-ups must be made to ensure that no opportunity for a sale is missed out on.
- Preparation of all documents and safari planners relating to each file and reconfirming all services
- Invoicing and managing payments in line with the requirements of the department
- Ensuring proficiency in all systems and utilizing them for maximum efficiency
- Acquiring and managing the emergency phone and duties as rotated among the team
- Assist with and maintain an efficient administrative system within the department
- Sourcing, leveraging, and growing trade and direct client relations to yield maximum revenue results
- Working seamlessly with the reservations, finance, operations, safaris, and sales/marketing teams to ensure the continued growth and success of the respective divisions
- Achieving targets as set out by management both on service quality and revenue generation
- Troubleshooting and taking accountability to ensure the very best quality output and client/guest satisfaction
- Issue driver’s itineraries, Driver/guide briefing for safaris
- Other duties as outlined by the management
Requirements:
- Have a qualification in Tourism Studies diploma/degree in a tourism-related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a tour consultant in the Tanzanian safari industry or a related position.
- Passionate about creating unique safari experiences for our clients
- Team player, able to work in a busy environment but at the same time able to work individually under minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and fluent in English, spoken as well as written.
- Your computer skills are up to date, including Excel, PowerPoint, working in the cloud, itinerary software, and basic Google Suite.
- Good numerical skills be able to plan itineraries and costing for budget, mid, and high-end customers.
- Must be articulate and well-spoken, confident, and able to brief and debrief clients.
- Must be organized, highly efficient, reliable, and diligent with a strong sense of responsibility and fulfillment.
- Informed decision-making ability imperative, with a sound ability to both strategize and implement, flexible and problem solver.
- Be flexible in working hours and ensure coverage where/when needed.

Job Title: DRIVER GUIDES
Office Location: Arusha
Job Overview: The role of a Driver Guide is to safely guide the guests on multiple game drives through Tanzania National Parks sharing expert knowledge of Wildlife, fauna, and flora during gaming to ensure guests have a memorable stay. Driver guides with fluent communication in Italian, German, and Spanish.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Provide solid knowledge on all levels of wildlife, history, Tanzania culture, geology, birds, trees, and Plants, and be able to share the knowledge effectively with clients.
- Awareness of Park Roads networks and alternative road networks and the time it takes to cover distances between certain destinations to another.
- Go beyond the call of duty by adhering to guiding protocol, National Park rules, and the Company’s code of conduct, Standard Operating Procedures, Rules, and Regulations.
- Be Clear and consistent in providing information to clients in a charming manner.
- Mentor the behavior of the client’s group especially when young children are in it and ensure everyone remains in compliance with the rules.
- Regular Vehicle check especially after conditions, making sure vehicles is in excellent working condition before starting the safari.
- Actively host guests in all situations and properties as their guide leader over several game drives.
- Taking full hosting responsibilities in gaming drive where possible, available to host breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as discussing the day’s success and planning for the next day’s activities.
- Enthusiastically communicate and promote the Company and Tanzania wildlife.
- Perform other responsibilities related to guiding.
QUALIFICATIONS.
- Should have a certificate in the Wildlife Management Course.
- Age between 35 years to 45 years with a valid driving license class C, C1, and C2. (Good Knowledge of Vehicle maintenance will be an added advantage).
- Excellent Communication skills in English, Italian, German, and Spanish (Candidates with two languages will have an advantage).
- Should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Driver Guide and with good in Tanzania National Parks.
- Age between 35 years to 45 years
- Well-knowledgeable in Wildlife, Flora and Fauna, Culture, etc.
