Position Description:
The position requires someone who possesses deep knowledge about
Africa and its Regions. He/she must be able to amicably consult
clients and create packages about Africa based not only on personal
experience but also on extensive logistical knowledge on products by
African regions.

•        Deep understanding of cultural norms of different parts of Africa,
•        Ability and confidence to consult about and sell specific Africa
Destinations & its Regions
•        Extensive product knowledge and excellence in logistics
•        Extensive knowledge and experience in travelling within Africa
•        Ability to build original, logistically sound and complex tourism
products/packages and pertinent day to day itineraries

Duties and responsibilities
The position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•        To deal with all travel related enquires via telephone, the
internet, skype and email.
•        To demonstrate experience and insight into clients’ needs, and
expertly match client expectations with the correct product/ package.
•        To build customized products/packages for different clients
including but not limited to air, travel, hotel, transfers, lodges,
safari tours and car rentals, and follow up with the client when
necessary to secure befitting sales.
•        To maintain and promote professional and courteous client relations
by being prompt and accurate in all forms of communications.
•        To demonstrate professional customer service care skills.
•        To collect follow up feedbacks with clients on completion of their
trips and experience for improved services in future.
•        Respond immediately to incoming enquiries with more detailed follow
up correspondence within a 12 hour window and in all cases not longer
than 24 hours of client’s initial contact.
•        To remain informed about all rules, regulations and processes of the
tourist industry including thorough understanding of the Standard Tour
Operator rates and contracts.
•        To marshal all standard tour operator procedures, profit margins,
hidden costs, currency conversions, payments, pricing, invoicing etc.
•        To have deep knowledge about airline terminology, codes, fare bases,
aviation rules and tariffs, resource guides, bookings and industry
contacts.
•        To answer the after hours / emergency phone calls on a rotational
basis with other staff and so promptly attend to clients c travelling
with Sabaya Tours,
•        To build original, logistically sound and complex Packages and
clients’ day to day itineraries
•        To train and provide general guidance to junior staff
•        To maintain excellent business to business relationships
•        To deal with complaints and complex problems from suppliers or
clients as may arise
•        To main focus on the luxury market and groups and develop pertinent
strategies

Minimum Qualifications:
•        Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Travel & Tourism from a credible and
internationally recognized institution,
•        Wide work experience: Minimum 5 – 10 years in the tourism Travel Industry
•        Wide exposure and experience in exhibitions and trade fairs.
