INVITATION FOR BIDS

TENDER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SURGICAL FEMALE WARD AT MERU DISTRICT HOSPITAL

FLOWER POWER FOUNDATION LTD  invites interested bidders to submit their bids for Construction as following  below criteria

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS & DRAWINGS IN LINK BELOW

1. Excavations for foundations and reinforced concrete structure shall be the width, depths and levels to accommodate the structure shown on the drawings.
2. All excavations made to size and depths required from the drawings  above have to be inspected by Engineer.
3. Filling to make up levels under floors shall be of approved granular materials arising from excavations which has been carefully separated from other excavated materials for suitability for the purpose and has to be approved by Engineer.
4. Fillings shall be placed in layers not exceeding 150mm Thick, rolled, rammed and compacted to the satisfaction of Engineer.

A: AGREGATES

Aggregate shall be free from impurities and contaminations likely to cause discoloration and shall be of constant colour throughout the work.

B: REINFORCEMENTS

Reinforcement shall comply with Local standard and the sizes should be adopted as specified on the drawings.

1. FORMWORK

Formwork shall be true to line, level and profile

Before placing the concrete, all fixing of reinforcement bars should be in positions and cores and other devices used for forming openings, holes, ducts or other cavities shall be fixed to the shuttering.

D: CONCRETE

Generally the whole concrete work shall comply with BS 8110 and shall be carried out strictly with the working drawings provided and instructed by Engineer.

Strip foundations, Ring and plinth beams, columns and pads shall be of 20 Class.

E: BLOCKWORK

Solid concrete blocks 150 mm thick to B.S 2028 type “A” bedded and jointed in cement and sand (1:3) mortar.-Layout adopted as shown on the drawing.

F: ROOFING STRUCTURE

Roof trusses should be treated timber,

Roof details and layout should be adopted as shown on the working drawings.

G: ROOF COVERING

Roof covering shall be IT5   26G as manufactured by ALAF. Including its valley and ridge cape.

H: EXTERNAL FINISHING

Cement sand plaster in ratio 1:4 smoothed finished skimmed with white cement.

I:INTERNAL FINISHING-C

Cement sand plaster in ratio 1:4 smoothed finished skimmed with Gypsum powder.

J: FLOOR TILES

    Non glazed   Ceramic Tiles -Twyford 300x300mm.

K: WALL TILES

Wall tiles shall be of 250x400x6mm ceramic tiles.

L: DOORS

Paneled Doors and frame shall be of Hardwood Mninga

M:WINDOWS

All windows shall be Alluminium profile with  5mm clear glass.

N: PLUMBING

All clean water pipes shall be of IPS Class B, waste pipe shall be of PVC class B.

O: ELECTRICAL WORKS

All cables shall be EURO and Accessories like socket, switch gears etc shall be of TRONIC.

P: CEILING

Ceiling materials shall be of Gypsum 9mm (Gyproc type) with its cornices

Q: PAINTS

External final coats shall be of weather guard paints while internal paints shall be of Acrylic Vinyl- Silk.

Note: All Construction cost shall cover all the details as shown on the drawings for the following aspects

• Excavations
• Foundation works(Substructure)
• Superstructure
• Roof structure
• Finishing works(External &internal finishing, floor &ceiling finish, painting and skimming works, floor and wall tiles along the wet areas)
• Door and windows(Including iron mongaries)
• Plumbing installation
• Electrical installation
• Waste water chambers and piping
• Provision of ICT Facilities.
• Rain water collection gutters

The deadline for submission of bids will be on 21th November 2019 at 12:00hrs.

Bids should be delivered in SEALED envelopes and MARKED BOQ FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SURGICAL FEMALE WARD AT MERU DISTRICT HOSPITAL
