1. Background

KOMU College of Technology and Management is a private organization established and registered under the Business Names Registration Act CAP 213.Currently the organization is offering training services to the public registered by NACTVET with registration number REG/SAT/48P.


2.0. Vacant Positions


1.1.1.      Qualifications & experience

  • An applicant should be graduate with Bachelor of Education in Science with ICT or Bachelor Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Information Systems or Related programs.
  • Additional qualifications related to teaching will be added advantage.
  • An applicant should be creative, self-motivated, ready to learn, capable to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • An applicant should at least have two years teaching experience in training institutions accredited by NACTVET.


1.1.2.      Job Description

  •      Teaching Up to NTA level 6 (Database, Programming and Computer Networks).
  • Teach and supervise students using lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory workshop sessions, seminars, case studies, field assignments and independent or group projects.
  • Develop curriculum, prepare teaching materials and course outlines.
  • Prepare, administer and mark tests and papers to evaluate students’ progress.
  • Provide consultation services to government, business or other organizations.
  • Provide individual tutorial or remedial instruction to students who require it.
  • Supervise independent or group projects, field placements, laboratory work or hands-on training.
  • Supervise teaching assistants.

    2.2.1. Qualifications & Experience

  • Should possess Diploma in Human Resource, additional qualifications related to Human Resource will be added advantage.
  • Should be creative, self-motivated, ready to learn, capable to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Should at least have one-year experience in Human resource management in training institutions or related business.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2.2.2. Job Description:

  •   Assist in preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process.
  • Assist in orienting new employees and training existing employees.
  • Assist in monitoring employee performance.
  • Assist in ensuring that all employees are organized and satisfied in their work environment.
  • Assist in overseeing the health and safety of all employees.
  • Assist in implementing systematic staff development procedures.
  • Assist in providing counseling on policies and procedures.
  • Assist in ensuring meticulous implementation of payroll and benefits administration.
  • Assist in communicating with staff about issues affecting their performance.
  • Assist to ensure accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.
