Position title: Reservation Consultant

 

Reporting to: Group Reservation Manager

 

Duty station: Arusha, Tanzania

 

Position summary: The Elewana Collection of 6 boutique lodges, camps and hotels is

 

known for its unique accommodations in iconic locations in Tanzania. Elewana crafts

 

authentic and memorable safari experiences, providing the highest quality of luxury and

comfort.

 

Warm and genuine East African hospitality characterises a safari with Elewana,

where guests are indulged with a luxurious and personalised stay.

 

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced, qualified and energetic candidate to

join our team in the capacity of a Reservations Consultants. The position is based out of

Arusha at our regional office.

 

Scope & Purpose of the Job:

 

We are looking for a candidate who will assist booking agents with the planning and

booking aspect of their vacation or stay. They may support agents in person, on the

phone, online or a combination of these. They answer agents’ questions, make travel

suggestions and book rooms.

 

Role: Reservations Consultant

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Receive and process all booking requests from all booking channels
• Ensure full payment of bookings for cash clients are made in line with booking

terms and conditions.

• Engage, discuss and provide solutions to agents based on their requirements
• Process and issue detailed booking documentation to agents as required
• Secure detailed information from agents with a view to ensuring that guests’

expectations are met

• Ensure that records are properly kept and archived in line with company policy
• Make follow-ups for provisional bookings and outstanding payments
• Promptly confirm bookings, subject to rooms being available and within defined

booking policies.

• Process all reservations inquiries, ensuring all the time that the best solution is

provided to the agents

• Collect, update and clearly communicate/share all the necessary details

concerning guest arrivals to the lodges on a daily basis

• Respond swiftly and accurately to any lodge or accounts queries pertaining to

guest details

• Prepare any reports as may be required from time to time.
• Issue accurate invoices and reservations summary to agents
• Arrange all processed vouchers/documents and ensure that they are carefully &

correctly archived on a daily basis.

• Be responsible for and diligently handle assigned key accounts

 

 

Experience & Education:

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management
• 3-4 Years work experience in a similar role
• Good Knowledge of HS and ResRequest systems is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English & Kiswahili
• Candidates with ability to speak French, German or Spanish are highly

encouraged to apply.
