lOOKING FOR SOCIAL WORKER WITH A DEGREE.

Because our former social worker didn’t have a degree in social studies and

nowadays the government requires the degree before renewing the license of all Children Homes.

Therefor we are looking for a young man who likes to work with his heart for the most vulnerable youth in society!

Watoto Foundation founded in 2003 has already given service to more than 900 hard-core street children

between 13 and 18 years old (maximum 64 boys). We are working with a team of 15 teachers to change their lives with a future

of a paid job before leaving the center. We are located at Makumira on a 17 acres beautiful land with our own Primary Memkwa school,

vocational training center included agriculture, livestock, horticulture and training for the tourism industry. Our program is very successful

with on the end a paid job for all our graduated boys. A very few can continue their study in secondary- high school and even University.

We have also a Drop-In center in Njiro Arusha with maximum of 12 boys. We are closely related to WF Kiboko Lodge, which gives training

to our graduated boys for the tourism industry.

THE CANDIDATE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

-your age should be between 27 and 30 year

-you should have experience with older (street) children.

-you should have recommendation letters from your former employers.

-you should sleep for at least 4 nights at the center.

-you must have a lot of experiences in counseling.

-you must know that ‘beaten’ is strictly forbidden in our center.

– you should overseen the center in a well organized way.

-you should be a team player and very good in communication.

–self confidence – Focus and discipline are our main starting points for students and also teachers

– also your hobbies should be sports, singing, acrobatics, music etc.

– you will be a member of the management team.

-your living place should be not further than 15km round Makumira (Usa River)

-a good gross starting salary between 550 and 750,000 PM depending on work experience.
