Upcoming trek at makumira shamba. having a Focus on birding, primates, insect’s, botany, traditional medicine, coffee, banana and cultural elements of our area

Time: meet at 8:00-8.20am – 8.30am depart Snow Crest Hotel

 

 

 

From: Snow Crest Hotel Ngulelo – Transport cost to be shared by all using the vehicle . Please let us know in advance if you require transport from SnowCrest so we can arrange accordingly.

Cost of hike:TZS10,000 per Adult, kids below 15 yrs old TZS 5000.

 

 

 

Cost for optional coffee roasting experience after the hike:

 

TZS 5000 per adult / kids under 12 years are free of cost

 

 

 

The trek will be quite educative for the birders, botanist, and coffee lovers, and you will have a great opportunity to learn about coffee , Flora, fauna , traditional medicine , and birds where 71spp recorded.

 

 

 

The hike will pass through small villages, forests, river, water spring, coffee estate and banana farmd it s guided by Abdul and his fellow birder students who are energetic with a cheerful demeanor and are all avid birders whose charisma and knowledge will amaze you as you experience this hike with team.

 

 

 

Highlights ; hiking through Forest, banana tour, blue monkeys, , black and white colobus monkeys,  vegetables farms, view of Mt Meru from different angles and not forgetting the fun and joyful of hiking in a group.

 

 

 

Recommended dressing;

 

Hiking shoes, cap, extra pair of clothes rain coats, easy to walk clothes . we highly recommend bringing an umbrella.

 

 

 

Recommended items to carry:

 

binocular, backpack for personal items, water, lunch or snacks.
