The Institute of Accountancy Arusha is pleased to invite you and your staff to attend to the one day short course training on the MODERN SKILLS OF ANALYSING QUALITATIVE DATA BY USING THE NVIVO PROGRAMME at the IAA MAIN CAMPUS ARUSHA NJIRO HILL.

 

AN OVERVIEW

This course aims at providing theoretical and practical skills of analyzing qualitative data by using the NVivo programme. NVivo programme is the best modern software package which is used to organise, analyse and interpret qualitative data. The training will focus mainly on the analysis of transcripts of in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. The training is designed mainly for academics, post graduate students, researchers, government and non-governmental officials and any person interested in reflecting his/her practice. The training will involve both offline/physical and online participants.

The course director, Dr. Simon Mlundi is the long experienced social science researcher. He will draw from his research experience to establish the practice of analyzing qualitative data in the Tanzanian context. The course director will be glad to address specific queries raised by participants during the session or even during the breakfast time.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

On the successful completion of this short course on the modern skills of Analyzing Qualitative Data, participants are expected to be able to:

  • To comprehend the nature of the qualitative data analysis
  • To understand different approaches of analyzing qualitative data
  • To develop and apply the coding system and themes in analyzing qualitative data
  • To understand the meaning of NVivo programme
  • To apply NVivo software in analyzing qualitative data.

TARGET GROUP

The course is intended for academics, post-graduate students, researchers, the government and non-governmental officials and any other interested person.

FEES & MODE OF PAYMENT

The fee for the course is TZS 250,000/= (Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Shillings Only) per each offline participant to cover for Training fee, Training materials, Certificates, Breakfast, Lunch during the course as well as Installation of NVivo Software. And, the training fee for each online participant will be TZS 150,000 (One Hundred Fifty Thousand Only). Payment shall be done through any branch of bank agent of CRDB, NBC, NMB, and BOT. Reference number (Control Number) will be shared later. Participants are supposed to confirm their participation one week before the training date by paying the required training fee.
